Seamless Rolled Rings
Ajax Rolled Ring & Machine produces custom seamless rolled rings on two rolling mills from approximately 7.5 inches to 120 inches in diameter, and weighing from 20 to 3,000 pounds in carbon, alloy, and stainless grades of steel. Certain grades of non-ferrous materials such as copper are also within our rolling capabilities.
Our large rolling mill (Mill 1) is a 100 ton Radial/80 ton Axial Wagner rolling mill that produces rings from approximately 18 inches to 120 inches in diameter with a maximum height of approximately 20 inches and weighing from 200 to 3,500 pounds depending on the ring configuration and grade of material. This rolling mill produces seamless rolled rings in quantities of 1 and up.
Our small rolling mill (Mill 2) is a 40 ton Radial/25 ton Axial Wagner rolling mill that produces rings from approximately 7.5 inches to 24 inches in diameter with a maximum height of 6 inches and weighing from 20 to 135 pounds depending on the ring configuration in carbon, alloy, and 410 stainless. This rolling mill has four rotating mandrels, and is ideally suited for higher volumes from 50 pieces minimum up to 2,000 pieces per production run.
In additional to plain rectangular shapes (PRS), both rolling mills are capable of producing ID/OD contour configurations (see Contour page).
