Furnaces
Blocks are pre-heated using natural gas
or electric induction furnaces and delivered to the mills
at the ideal rolling temperature to eliminate surface
defects, scaling and laps.
Inspection
Use of our laser CMM, Portable Measuring
Arm CMM and part specific gauges ensure our parts leave
our facility to the exact dimensional requirements set
forth by each customer for their specific rings.
The
inspection equipment is calibrated, and traceable to
NIST. Records are maintained using dedicated gage management
software, and calibration stickers as appropriate.
Machining
AJAX in-house machining equipment consists of; numerous Conventional and CNC VTL’s capable machining parts up to 130” outside Diameter.
We also have an
array of outside approved machining vendors to add
additional capabilities and capacity ensuring coverage
for all your
machining needs.
